Laura Money

Laura Money is Executive Vice-President and Chief Information and Technology Innovation Officer at Sun Life, where she is responsible for overseeing all aspects of information and digital technology. With a career spanning more than 30 years, she has held several technology executive roles at two major Canadian financial institutions. Prior to that, she worked as a technology consultant in the United States, United Kingdom and Canada.

Recent recognitions include being named one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women by the Women’s Executive Network, and one of the Top 10 Canadian Chief Information Officers (CIOs) by CIO Review. She currently serves as Chair of Bowtie Life Insurance Company. Previously, she served as Chair of Opera Atelier, and Chair of the Canadian Cancer Society’s Ontario Division. She has also served on the Board of Intria, and as Vice-President of the University of Toronto Schools Alumni Association. 

Laura holds a Master of Business Administration degree from INSEAD (Institut Européen d'Administration des Affaires), and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Industrial Engineering degree from the University of Toronto. She holds an Institute of Corporate Directors, Director (ICD.D) designation from the Rotman School of Management. Laura represents Canada internationally as a member of Age Group Team Canada, competing in the Standard Distance Triathlon.
