Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)

The University is committed to building a campus community that is inclusive for all individuals, and ensuring that its services, supports and spaces are accessible for persons with disabilities.

Part of this goal is ensuring compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA).  AODA is provincial legislation created with the intent of achieving accessibility for Ontarians with disabilities by 2025, across five key areas:

  • Customer Service
  • Information and Communication
  • Employment
  • Transportation
  • Built Environment
